WPForms Plus vs Basic: Are 3 Sites and Email Integrations Worth $50 More?
The short answer
WPForms Plus is $99.50 for the first year, while Basic is $49.50, so the introductory difference is $50. The larger long-term question is renewal: the same pricing page shows the regular annual prices as $199 for Plus and $99 for Basic, making the displayed renewal gap $100 per year. Plus also expands the license from one site to three and unlocks a broad set of email marketing integrations that Basic does not include. If you run multiple WordPress sites or need forms to feed a real email platform, Plus has a concrete reason to exist. If you only need one site's forms and Constant Contact, Basic may already be enough.
At a glance
- Best for
- WordPress owners with two or three sites or direct email marketing integration needs beyond Constant Contact.
- Price model
- $99.50 first year · normally $199/year
- Check first
- Plus does not include every Pro or Elite addon; regular renewal is double the current first-year Plus price.
The renewal gap doubles the first-year gap
Basic is currently shown at $49.50 for the first year with a regular price of $99. Plus is $99.50 for the first year with a regular price of $199. That means the first-year upgrade costs $50, but the displayed renewal difference is $100 annually. Over two years, using today's displayed figures, Basic totals about $148.50 while Plus totals about $298.50. That is a $150 two-year difference before taxes or future changes.
Three sites can make Plus cheaper per licensed site
Basic covers one website; Plus covers up to three. If you genuinely use all three Plus activations, the current first-year cost is about $33.17 per licensed site versus $49.50 for Basic's one site. At the displayed regular prices, Plus is about $66.33 per site across three active sites versus $99 for one Basic site. This is only license arithmetic. If you own one site, two unused activations do not create value.
The real feature gate is email marketing integration
Both Basic and Plus include unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, entry management, conditional logic, file uploads, multi-page forms and many core paid features. The meaningful Plus difference is marketing integration. WPForms currently lists AWeber, Brevo, Campaign Monitor, ConvertKit, Drip, GetResponse, Mailchimp and MailerLite on Plus, while Basic is limited to Constant Contact among that group. A business already using one of those platforms can therefore connect form submissions directly without moving all the way to Pro.
Do not confuse Plus with Pro
WPForms Pro is a separate tier at $199.50 for the first year and a displayed regular price of $399. Pro adds five-site licensing, priority support and higher-value payment and conversion features. If the reason you are upgrading is fee-free payment processing, surveys, stronger conversion tools or other Pro-only addons, Plus is not the final destination. Plus is best understood as the three-site and email-marketing tier.
The affiliate program is open and pays 20%
WPForms' official affiliate page says applications are manually reviewed, generally within up to 48 hours, and affiliates earn 20% of each successful sale. The current program page shows a real signup form and publishes example commissions by license tier. Affiliate terms also state that applications can be approved or rejected and commissions are paid monthly after validation. Toolnavia has not applied or been approved, so affiliate tracking remains disabled.
Before choosing Plus, check two things: will you activate WPForms on more than one site, and do you need one of the Plus-only email marketing integrations? If both answers are no, Basic is likely enough. If either is clearly yes, evaluate Plus using the $199 regular annual price rather than only the $99.50 first-year offer.
