Bottom line
Canceling PDFelement 13 stops a future renewal; it does not automatically refund the latest payment. Wondershare's current subscription terms say a canceled subscription continues through the contracted term. They also say the 30-day policy does not apply to auto-renewal charges.
A direct Wondershare purchase may still qualify for a separate refund review under accepted circumstances. The seller, charge type, timing, usage, credits and region matter. Apple, Google or reseller purchases must be handled by the original seller.
First confirm the order and plan
Start with the receipt. Record the product, platform, order date, order number, seller, plan name and whether the charge was the initial order or an automatic renewal.
The current PDFelement 13 Windows store lists quarterly, yearly, two-year and perpetual choices. A perpetual license is not the same billing model as a renewable subscription, so do not cancel or dispute a charge until the receipt confirms what you own.
Also inspect AI credits or optional services separately. A desktop plan and a credit entitlement can be different line items. Canceling one item is not proof that every recurring item stopped, and consumed credits can matter in a refund review.
How to stop the next renewal
Wondershare's PDFelement support flow asks for the order number or licensed email on the cancellation page, followed by **Cancel auto renew**. Complete the final confirmation, save a screenshot or email, and then re-open the account or order page to verify the status.
Cancellation normally leaves access active through the contracted term. A canceled quarterly, yearly or two-year plan may therefore remain usable until its paid end date; continued access is not proof that automatic renewal is still enabled.
Record the expected term-end date and set your own reminder before it. If the account shows several products or platforms, verify each recurring item individually.
Refund review is a separate action
Wondershare's refund policy says most direct initial purchases may be reviewed within 30 days, while some products or regions have different windows. This is conditional—not a no-questions-asked guarantee—and it depends on accepted reasons, seller, product, timing, use and applicable consumer rights.
The subscription terms add the decisive renewal boundary: the 30-day policy does not apply to auto-renewal charges. “I forgot to cancel” by itself should not be presented as a guaranteed refund reason. State the exact charge date, whether it was initial or renewal, the cancellation date and the policy-grounded reason, then ask for an eligibility decision.
For an eligible direct order, Wondershare's policy points to Account Center, **My Orders**, **Order History**, and the refund entry. Approval may revoke the corresponding license, service or credits, so back up necessary documents before requesting reversal without consuming more benefits.
Contract model can change the cost of exit
Read the receipt and current contract wording rather than assuming every recurring plan behaves alike. Wondershare's terms say an annual contract billed monthly can carry a lump charge equal to 50% of the remaining obligation after the initial window. Apply that warning only if the receipt actually names that contract model; do not transfer it to an ordinary prepaid yearly, quarterly, two-year or perpetual order.
Competing PDF editors use different windows and consequences: Adobe publishes plan-specific cancellation and possible commitment fees, while Foxit and Nitro publish their own refund routes and deadlines. These comparisons show why a familiar policy from another editor cannot decide a PDFelement case.
Route the request to the seller
For a direct Wondershare web order, use the Account Center refund route and Wondershare support. For Apple, Google Play or another reseller, use that seller's cancellation and refund system. Wondershare's policy sends third-party purchases back to the original seller.
If the charge appears unauthorized or continues after documented cancellation, preserve the receipt, cancellation proof, support messages and statements. The FTC recommends retaining cancellation records and monitoring statements; unresolved unauthorized charges should be handled through the payment provider's formal dispute process, not by misrepresenting refund eligibility.
**Evidence packet.** Prepare: order number; licensed email; seller; product/version/platform; plan model; initial or renewal charge; charge date; cancellation date; account status; policy reason; screenshots; and support messages. Ask two separate questions: **Is future renewal canceled?** and **Is this charge eligible for refund under the current policy?**
Decision
Choose **cancel only** if you want to stop the next term and use the remaining paid access. Choose **cancel plus refund review** only when a direct charge may match the published conditions. Choose the **original seller route** for app-store or reseller billing.
