MonsterInsights Pro vs Plus: Is eCommerce Tracking Worth $100 More?

The short answer

MonsterInsights Plus is $99.50 for the first year, while Pro is $199.50, so the introductory upgrade costs $100. The same pricing page shows regular prices of $199 for Plus and $399 for Pro, making the displayed renewal gap $200 per year. Pro expands the license from one site to five, doubles included AI credits from 5,000 to 10,000, and unlocks the analytics features most relevant to ecommerce and conversion measurement: eCommerce reports, form conversion tracking, custom dimensions, PPC tracking and user journeys. A publisher or simple business site may be well served by Plus; an ecommerce site or multi-site operator has a clearer reason to choose Pro.

The long-term gap is larger than the first-year gap

At today's displayed prices, Plus is $99.50 in year one and $199 at the regular price, while Pro is $199.50 and then $399. A two-year planning total is therefore about $298.50 for Plus versus $598.50 for Pro, a $300 difference before tax or future changes. MonsterInsights also prorates license upgrades based on remaining time, so a buyer can start lower and pay the remaining difference if Pro becomes necessary later.

Five sites can change the economics

Plus covers one WordPress site; Pro covers five. If all five Pro activations are genuinely used, the first-year license cost averages about $39.90 per site. At the displayed regular price, it is about $79.80 per site. That is a simple license-cost ratio, not a reason to activate Pro on sites that do not need its advanced reports. For a single site, the five-site allowance alone has no value.

eCommerce and form conversion tracking are the real feature gate

Plus already includes unlimited pageviews and users, real-time analytics, custom dashboards, publisher reports, search keyword reports, page reports, campaign reports and source/medium reporting. Pro adds eCommerce reports, form conversion reports, custom dimensions, coupons reports, enhanced ecommerce tracking and form conversion tracking. For WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads or a lead-generation site where form performance is a business metric, those additions can materially change what you can see inside WordPress.

Pro also adds PPC and journey-level analysis

The current Pro plan lists PPC ad tracking for Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and LinkedIn, plus User Journeys and integrations for WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, WPForms and other form/membership tools. These capabilities are most useful when analytics must connect marketing channels to downstream behavior. They do not guarantee better ad performance or sales; they reduce the amount of custom tracking work needed to surface those reports.

AFF is open, free to join, and pays 20%

MonsterInsights' official affiliate program is free to join, has no monthly fee or minimum sales requirement, accepts applicants outside the U.S., and advertises 20% commission on every qualifying referred sale. Applications are manually reviewed, usually within 48 hours, and commissions are paid monthly after the program's validation period. Toolnavia has not applied or been approved, so affiliate tracking remains disabled.

Before upgrading, check whether you have more than one site and whether ecommerce, forms or paid-ad conversion measurement is a real requirement. If neither applies, Plus can be the lower-cost choice. If one or both are central to the business, compare Pro using the $399 regular annual price—not only the $199.50 first-year offer.
