Metricool Advanced Annual vs Monthly: Save $168—or Stay Flexible?
The short answer
Metricool Advanced 15 is $67 monthly or a modeled $636 annual prepayment. Annual saves $168 and becomes cheaper at payment ten; monthly is safer while workflow, brand count or add-ons remain uncertain.

The price decision in one minute
Both billing cycles buy the same Advanced 15-brand capacity. Metricool lists Advanced from $53 per month on annual billing and $67 per month on monthly billing. At constant list price, monthly costs $603 through nine payments and $670 after payment ten. The annual baseline is $636, so monthly protects cash through month nine; annual wins at month ten.
The pricing page excludes applicable VAT. Metricool lets customers choose USD or EUR, and tax can be added according to the billing country. Treat $636 and $804 as pre-tax comparison baselines, not guaranteed card totals.
What does not change with annual billing
Annual billing does not unlock a higher tier. Advanced still covers up to 15 brands at the entry price and includes team and client management, roles, approvals, custom report templates, Data Studio and API access. The decision should therefore be about commitment, not feature access.
A brand is the planning unit. If the agency is likely to exceed 15 brands, compare the 25-brand and 50-brand prices before choosing a term. The 15-brand calculation is not a quote for every Advanced account. X/Twitter and Advanced Analytics add-ons may be billed separately.
The $168 saving and payment-ten crossover
The arithmetic is simple: $67 × 12 = $804. The annual display of $53 per month implies $636 for a year, paid upfront in current independent checkout analysis. The difference is $168. Dividing $168 by $804 gives about 20.9%, even though Metricool describes annual discounts as “up to 24%” across plans. “Up to” is portfolio language; use the exact Advanced 15-brand numbers for this decision.
Monthly is cheaper if you exit after one through nine paid months. At ten months, monthly reaches $670 and exceeds the annual baseline by $34. At twelve months, annual is $168 lower. Taxes, promotions, add-ons and price changes can move the checkout total, so verify the actual annual invoice before paying.
Refund and renewal risk
Metricool gives a 15-calendar-day refund window for the first subscription payment. That protection does not reset at renewal. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically on the matching cycle, and automatic renewals are not refundable under the published refund policy.
This makes the annual option a renewal-control decision as much as a discount decision. Record the renewal date, set an internal reminder and cancel before the renewal if continued use is uncertain. Cancellation stops the next charge; the paid plan remains available until the current term ends.
Switching cycles later
Moving from monthly to annual takes effect immediately. Metricool says unused monthly time is prorated against the annual amount due. That makes monthly a practical validation phase: test approvals, role permissions, reports, integrations and API workflows before prepaying.
Moving from annual to monthly is different. The change waits until the annual term ends and must be requested through support. Do not assume an annual invoice can be converted into refundable monthly installments.
Invoice, currency and tax checklist
Before checkout, confirm five items: the selected 15-brand block, USD or EUR, annual versus monthly cycle, VAT or other applicable tax, and every add-on. Metricool accepts card or PayPal, generates an invoice after each completed payment, and stores it in payment history. VAT treatment depends on country and validated billing details.
For procurement, save the checkout total, invoice, renewal date and refund-policy version. Independent pricing reviews consistently corroborate $67 monthly and $53 annual-equivalent for Advanced 15, while also warning that brand blocks drive the price.
Decision rule
Choose monthly when you are still validating the agency workflow, may leave before month ten, expect brand-count changes or need the smallest irreversible commitment. Choose annual when Advanced 15 already fits, you expect at least ten paid months, the pre-tax $636 invoice is acceptable, and you have a renewal reminder.
The safe sequence is: validate on monthly, confirm brand capacity and add-ons, inspect the tax-inclusive annual total, then switch. The annual plan saves real money over twelve months, but only for a buyer who will actually use the same capacity long enough.
