Verdict
Dr.Fone - Screen Unlock (Android) is worth considering only for a phone you own or are authorized to service, and only after you verify the exact model and data-loss path. The current Windows Annual Plan is $39.95/year, while the Perpetual Plan is $49.95 one time. That $10 gap looks small, but the licenses differ: Annual includes major upgrades while the subscription stays active; Perpetual keeps the purchased major version and its same-version updates.
Annual versus Perpetual is really an upgrade-policy decision
The current Windows pricing page lists Monthly at $29.95, Annual at $39.95, and Perpetual at $49.95. Annual auto-renews and can be canceled. Perpetual is a one-time purchase. Each Windows license covers up to five mobile devices and two PCs.
Wondershare's current Screen Unlock FAQ explains the update difference more clearly. Annual subscribers receive software updates including major upgrades during the active subscription. A Perpetual buyer keeps perpetual access to the version purchased and receives updates within that major version; moving from one major version to the next can require another purchase.
So Perpetual is not automatically the better value just because it costs only $10 more today. If Android support changes with future major versions, an active Annual subscription may have value. If the current major version already supports your owned device and you expect only occasional reuse, Perpetual can avoid yearly renewal.
Check the model and data-loss consequence before paying
The product page advertises removal of PIN, pattern, password, fingerprint, and face locks on supported Android devices. But no-data-loss unlocking is limited. Dr.Fone's own current support says only certain Samsung and LG devices support that route; other supported Android models can require deleting all device data.
That makes compatibility more important than the plan price. Use the free download to confirm that your model is recognized and review the documented consequence before buying. If your phone can still be backed up through an authorized account or another normal recovery path, do that first.
A Windows license is also platform-specific. Wondershare's current FAQ says a Windows license does not activate the Mac version and vice versa. The plan therefore covers up to five mobile devices, but the desktop activation is tied to the purchased platform.
Do not buy specifically for FRP until Wondershare resolves its own contradiction
There is a current official documentation conflict. The Screen Unlock (Android) purchase page advertises Google FRP removal, while Dr.Fone's current Unlock FAQ says the product does not currently support bypassing Factory Reset Protection.
Because those two official pages disagree, this article does not treat FRP as a confirmed purchase benefit. If FRP is the only reason you are considering the software, confirm your exact device and current capability with Wondershare support before paying. Do not assume the marketing line applies to every model or current release.
This guide is about legitimate recovery of your own or an authorized device. It does not provide instructions for bypassing another person's device security.
Refund and renewal are narrower than many competing tools
The current Screen Unlock (Android) purchase page lists a 7-day money-back guarantee if the product does not perform as intended, subject to Wondershare's refund policy. That is shorter than the 30-day guarantee advertised by several direct competitors.
Canceling Annual only stops future renewal; a refund request is a separate support process. Dr.Fone's purchase-and-refund FAQ directs customers to a refund request form and notes that third-party marketplace purchases can use a different refund route.
Before buying Annual, save the checkout, renewal setting, and model-compatibility result. Before buying Perpetual, remember that one-time access does not promise future major-version upgrades.
How alternatives compare on current public pricing
Tenorshare 4uKey for Android currently lists $39.95/year, $49.95 lifetime, and $24.95/month for one PC and five mobile devices, with a 30-day guarantee. PassFab Android Unlocker currently lists the same $39.95 annual and $49.95 lifetime points, with a $24.95 monthly plan and a 30-day guarantee.
iMyFone's current store lists LockWiper (Android) at $29.99, discounted from $49.99, while its product purchase page confirms Android screen-lock/FRP functions and a 30-day guarantee but does not expose a reliable Standard plan term price in the readable result. Treat that $29.99 as a store-entry reference, not a like-for-like annual comparison.
These are price-and-license comparisons, not unlock-success rankings. Model support and whether the process wipes data matter more than a small price difference.
Next step
For an owned or authorized Android device, first verify the exact model using Dr.Fone's free evaluation and confirm whether unlocking will erase data. If the device is supported and the current major version is enough, compare $39.95 Annual against $49.95 Perpetual based on upgrade needs, not just the $10 difference. If FRP is the goal, confirm it directly with support because current official pages conflict.
