Coursera Plus Annual: Does the $319.20 Year Cover Your Courses?
The short answer
Coursera Plus Annual can suit learners with several included programs and a realistic study schedule. The current US$319.20 first-year offer reduces the upfront cost, but course coverage matters more than the catalog size. This analysis uses official documentation and a suggested buying checklist; it is not a completed course or checkout test.

| Decision | Coursera Plus Annual, official USD terms | | --- | --- | | Covered learning | Included courses, Projects, Specializations and Professional Certificates | | First payment | US$319.20 for 12 months; regular annual price US$399 | | Eligibility | New Plus subscribers; one offer per person; no stacking | | Claim deadline | December 2, 2026, 23:59 UTC | | Renewal | US$399 per year plus applicable taxes unless canceled | | Main exclusion | Degrees, MasterTrack and other excluded programs |
Check the Plus badge on each exact program you want. A familiar university or company name does not mean its entire catalog is included. The subscription covers more than 10,000 offerings, but a missing required course can defeat the purchase even when thousands of others are available.
Four benefits to match to your learning plan
**One subscription across included subjects.** You can combine an included main program with supporting courses without buying each separately. That helps a learner build a coherent sequence, provided every item is covered and fits the available time.
**Structured paths for sustained work.** Course and certificate sequences provide a progression through a subject. Use the syllabus to plan the next session rather than selecting a new topic each evening. Prerequisites, workload and assessment requirements still belong to the individual program.
**Projects and labs for application.** Included offerings can contain practical work alongside lessons. Choose a program whose assignments match a skill you need to practice, then check its tools and setup requirements. Subscription access alone is not evidence that you can perform that task.
**Certificates for completed included work.** Plus does not cap the number of included certificates you can earn. These can document completion for a résumé or employer, but they are not a degree or a guarantee of academic credit, employment or professional qualification.
Budget for the first bill and the next year
The offer saves US$79.80 against the regular US$399 annual price: US$399 × 20% = US$79.80. US$319.20 is paid for the year, not billed monthly. The arithmetic equivalent is US$26.60 per month; renewal is US$33.25 per month equivalent, paid annually. If those rates remain unchanged, two years total US$718.20 before tax. Unlike one third-party offer table, the official terms specify US$399 at renewal, not US$319.20.
The general Plus page lists US$59 monthly. Coursera also currently advertises a separate 40% offer for three months of Plus monthly, so compare the actual short-term option if your plan is brief. This article does not claim annual is always cheapest. Individual program prices, local currency, tax and account eligibility must be checked for your purchase.
Use the dedicated annual offer page. Its USD terms govern this calculation even though the page may display a localized currency. The discount applies at checkout, and Coursera can change or withdraw the offer. An old sale date in a search result or the “2025” URL suffix does not establish today's entitlement.
Check coverage before accepting payment
This is a proposed evaluation task. Prepare a short list of learning goals, the exact program pages, your available weekly hours and any existing Coursera subscriptions.
1. Record the Plus badge for each required program. If one is excluded or unclear, price it separately before deciding.
2. Read its syllabus, prerequisites and assessment format. Try a preview where offered; preview access is not a certificate entitlement.
3. Schedule the first few study sessions. Write down the output you intend to complete, such as an assignment or small project, without promising a result you have not produced.
4. At the annual offer, confirm the plan, currency, first total, tax, renewal amount and new-subscriber eligibility. Stop if those differ from your budget.
5. Review existing Specialization subscriptions. Starting Plus does not cancel them automatically; cancel unwanted overlapping subscriptions yourself.
The output should be a one-page coverage and budget record. Accept the annual commitment only when the required programs, timetable and actual bill all fit. We did not sign in, enroll, pay or test account-specific eligibility.
Distinguish cancellation from a refund
Annual Plus is paid upfront and has a 14-day refund window. It is not the monthly plan's seven-day trial. To seek an eligible annual refund, use My Purchases within 14 days of payment and submit the refund request; cancellation alone is not a reliable substitute. Certificates earned in that initial window are revoked if refunded.
Coursera's current policy excludes refunds of annual renewal charges and permits refusals in specified cases, including abuse or significant content use.
Despite some reviews' wording, do not assume an unconditional or instant refund. Normal cancellation stops future renewal and leaves access through the paid period; marketplace purchases follow that marketplace's refund policy.
Choose annual when the covered work is concrete
Choose Annual when your named programs are included, you have time to use them and the upfront bill fits. Compare a shorter subscription or individual program when the need is brief. Keep a renewal reminder and reassess the next year on its own merits: an initial US$79.80 saving does not make an unused subscription valuable.
