TOOLNAVIA / BUYING GUIDE

Namecheap Stellar vs ChemiCloud Pro: 3 Sites or Unlimited + Daily Backups?

The short answer

Namecheap Stellar and ChemiCloud Pro are both low-cost shared-hosting offers, but they solve different capacity and recovery problems. Stellar currently displays a **30-day free trial and then US$2.28/month**, with an officially confirmed **US$55.88 annual renewal**. ChemiCloud Pro displays **US$2.95/month** against a **US$17.95 regular reference**, but the exact promotional term and total must be confirmed in the live cart.

Quick verdict

Choose **Namecheap Stellar** when three websites, 20GB SSD and 30 mailboxes are enough, you want the lowest entry point, and you will maintain independent backups.

Choose **ChemiCloud Pro** when you need more than three sites, 35GB NVMe, 4GB memory and a published 20-daily-backup window—and you accept that the displayed promotional rate may require a longer commitment and later renews at a much higher regular reference.

This is a purchase-decision comparison, not a performance test. Toolnavia did not benchmark either host, time support responses or execute a restore.

Price: do not compare two monthly labels as if they were the same contract

Namecheap currently puts a 30-day free trial ahead of a US$2.28 monthly display for Stellar. Its May 2026 notice separately confirms renewal references of **US$5.88 monthly, US$55.88 yearly or US$102.88 for two years**. The notice says a yearly trial first moves to an “After Trial” price; it does not itself state the numeric post-trial invoice. That means **US$27.36 is only twelve times the landing-page display, not a captured checkout total**. An independent current review corroborates the three-site and 20GB envelope plus the US$55.88 renewal, but the official pages still control.

ChemiCloud Pro currently displays US$2.95 per month against US$17.95. Independent cart observations multiply that display by 36 months to US$106.20, but the vendor page has changed promotions before, and availability can vary by selected location or timeframe. Treat **US$106.20 as a reproducible model, not a quote**, until the cart shows the term, due-today amount, renewal date and renewal total.

The correct checkout comparison is therefore not “US$2.28 versus US$2.95.” It is Namecheap's post-trial invoice and renewal schedule versus ChemiCloud's selected promotional term and later regular billing.

The real dividing line: three sites or a multi-site account

Stellar includes **three websites, 20GB SSD storage, unmetered bandwidth, 30 mailboxes and 300,000 inodes**. That is a clear fit for a small portfolio: a company site, a campaign site and perhaps a small blog. The fourth independent site forces a different account or plan.

ChemiCloud Pro lists **unlimited websites, 35GB NVMe, 4GB memory, two CPU cores, unlimited email and bandwidth, and 350,000 inodes**. “Unlimited websites” does not mean unlimited compute: all sites still share the stated storage, memory, CPU and inode envelope.

If you run one to three low-change sites, ChemiCloud's higher envelope may be unused. If you need four or more small sites, Namecheap's lower entry display is no longer the whole cost because plan or account expansion enters the decision.

Price has three layers

Backups are the biggest operational difference

Namecheap says shared-server backups may run every three to seven days or weekly, are intended for server restoration, and do not replace the customer's own copies. Stellar lacks the self-service AutoBackup access found on higher plans, so a restore may require support and depends on backup availability and account-size conditions.

ChemiCloud Pro lists **20 daily backups**. That is a materially shorter recovery window for stores, lead forms, membership sites and frequently updated WordPress installs. It still does not prove a restore will be complete, fast or portable. Test a restore, document who can trigger it and keep an off-platform copy.

The practical decision is simple: if losing several days of changes is unacceptable, budget a separate daily-backup system with Stellar or value ChemiCloud's published backup cadence as part of the plan.

Refund windows are not equal to renewal protection

Namecheap gives eligible first-time shared-hosting purchases a **30-day refund window**. Renewal refunds are discretionary when requested within 48 hours, so missing the cancellation date can leave little room to reverse the charge.

ChemiCloud advertises a **45-day guarantee** for eligible first-time shared or WordPress hosting, but renewals, domains and add-ons are excluded. Its terms also describe automatic renewal. The extra 15 trial days help evaluate a new purchase; they do not insure a later renewal.

For either host, save the checkout invoice, calendar the guarantee deadline and place a second reminder before automatic renewal.

Which plan is cheaper for your actual workload?

**One to three brochure sites:** Namecheap is usually the cleaner value hypothesis. You use the exact site envelope, pay for less idle capacity and can add your own backup workflow.

**Four or more modest sites:** ChemiCloud can avoid splitting the portfolio across accounts, but confirm that total storage, memory and inode limits fit the combined workload.

**A site that changes every day:** ChemiCloud's 20 daily backups reduce the advertised recovery gap. Namecheap can still be rational if an independent backup service is already part of your stack.

**A buyer who dislikes long commitments:** do not infer flexibility from a monthly-equivalent banner. Compare the actual selected term and due-today total in both carts.

Who should not buy each plan?

**Do not choose Stellar** if three sites are already too few, 20GB is tight, or you expect the host's server backups to replace your own daily recovery plan.

**Do not choose Pro** if you need only one small static site, cannot justify a potentially long promotional term, or are treating “unlimited websites” as unlimited resources.

Direct comparison pages confirm that buyers consider support and service depth, but only the current official plan and policy pages establish the exact decision boundaries used here.

Checkout checklist

For **Namecheap Stellar**, confirm the 30-day trial, post-trial due date and total, annual or two-year renewal amount, three-site limit, 20GB storage, mailbox count, backup access and 30-day refund deadline.

For **ChemiCloud Pro**, confirm the selected data center, promotional term, amount due today, regular renewal total, 35GB storage, 4GB memory, CPU and inode limits, backup retention and 45-day guarantee exclusions.

**Bottom line:** Namecheap Stellar is the sharper low-entry choice for up to three modest sites when you own backup responsibility. ChemiCloud Pro is the stronger multi-site and recovery package when its longer-term checkout and later renewal remain acceptable. Do not buy either from the banner alone; buy from the itemized cart.
