ChemiCloud Starter Shared Hosting: Promo Prices vs $11.95 Renewal
The short answer
ChemiCloud Starter is a one-site shared hosting plan with 20GB NVMe storage, 2GB memory and 10 daily backup points. The current complication is price: ChemiCloud's regular Shared Hosting page shows Starter at $1.95/month with a $11.95 regular/renewal reference, while its current Birthday Sale page separately shows $1.49/month for 36 months and $2.95/month for 12 months. Those are different live promotional presentations, so checkout and selected term—not the lowest headline—must control the first invoice.
At a glance
- Best for
- One small site that fits 20GB/2GB, can migrate within 60 days and will use the actual checkout rather than the lowest promo headline.
- Price model
- Paid shared hosting · generic $1.95/mo · Birthday $1.49/36 mo or $2.95/12 mo · regular reference $11.95/mo
- Check first
- One website; current official promo prices vary by campaign/term; provider backups are not guaranteed as the only archive; renewal uses the then-current standard rate.
Start with the live promo channel, not a single “true” intro price
The generic Shared Hosting page currently advertises Starter at $1.95/month and shows $11.95 as the regular price. The Birthday Sale page instead publishes Starter at $1.49/month on a 36-month term and $2.95/month on a 12-month term.
Because both are current official pages, this guide does not silently choose $1.49 or $1.95 as a universal rate. A buyer should save the campaign page, selected billing cycle and actual checkout total. ChemiCloud's Terms say promotional prices apply only to the first term and renewals use the then-current standard rate unless the promotion says otherwise.
The entry resource envelope is clearer than the campaign pricing
Starter currently lists one website, 20GB NVMe storage, 2GB memory, one CPU core, 250,000 inodes and unmetered bandwidth. ChemiCloud labels the ~25,000 monthly-visits figure as an estimate rather than a hard restriction.
That makes Starter easier to size for one small conventional site, but the published limits still matter. If the site is already close to 20GB, creates many files, or needs more sustained CPU/memory, the first-term discount is not a good reason to force it into the entry tier.
The free migration window lasts 60 days after activation
ChemiCloud's current migration guide says a free migration can be requested within 60 days after the order is activated. It currently includes up to 200 cPanel accounts or up to 10 non-cPanel website accounts, with additional migrations charged after the included allowance or after the 60-day window.
The Terms also make the customer responsible for up-to-date backups during transfers and say ChemiCloud is not liable for lost or missing data caused by a migration. Keep the old host active and maintain an independent copy until the new site, database, SSL, DNS and email are accepted.
Ten daily backups are useful, but they are not your only recovery plan
The Starter plan page advertises 10 daily backups, and ChemiCloud says it uses JetBackup. The Terms, however, classify nightly backups as an administrative service that is not guaranteed and explicitly make customers responsible for maintaining their own backups on personal or external storage.
That is not a contradiction about the published 10-day plan allowance; it is an important reliability boundary. Treat provider backups as a recovery layer, not the sole archive. ChemiCloud also prohibits using the hosting account primarily as a backup repository and may delete locally stored backup files.
The 45-day guarantee and renewal-refund rules are different
The 45-day money-back guarantee applies to qualifying first-time Shared Hosting service from account activation, not from order placement. Domain fees, paid migrations, add-ons and other listed services are excluded.
Unexpected renewals have a separate rule: eligible Shared Hosting renewal refunds must be requested within seven days after renewal. The current Terms offer either a partial monetary refund with a 10% deduction or full account credit, while monthly billing renewals are non-refundable.
Who Starter fits—and what to save before paying
Starter can fit one small website when 20GB and the published shared limits leave room, you can complete migration within 60 days, and you are comfortable relying on an external backup alongside ChemiCloud's provider backups.
Before paying, save the exact campaign page, selected term, checkout total, current regular/renewal reference, free-domain conditions and migration activation date. Before cancelling, save site files, databases and email outside ChemiCloud. If you need several sites, a shorter commitment, more resources or a simpler long-term price path, compare a higher tier or another host before using the promotional rate as the deciding factor.
