TOOLNAVIA / BUYING GUIDE
Bluehost vs ChemiCloud 4GB Managed VPS: $49.99 vs $32.95, but Check the Cart
The short answer
Bluehost Standard NVMe 4 and ChemiCloud Cloud 1 are unusually comparable managed VPS plans: both publish 2 CPU/vCPU cores, 4GB RAM, cPanel-based management and a 99.99% uptime commitment. Their headline prices do not have equal evidentiary strength. Bluehost clearly advertises **$49.99/month for 36 months**. ChemiCloud currently displays **$32.95/month**, but its VPS page also says the selected timeframe is unavailable, so Toolnavia treats $32.95 as a live display rather than a captured checkout.
That distinction is the point of this comparison. ChemiCloud can look $17.04/month cheaper, while Bluehost gives a cleaner term-specific price. ChemiCloud includes 80GB NVMe, 4TB transfer and one free cPanel Solo account; Bluehost lists 100GB NVMe, unmetered bandwidth and two IPs. ChemiCloud sells 80GB off-site backup for $9.95/month, while Bluehost's current KVM VPS policy puts backup responsibility on the customer.
At a glance
- Best for
- Buyers comparing two 2-core/4GB cPanel managed VPS plans who need to price billing-cycle certainty, cPanel account limits and backup cost before purchase.
- Price model
- $49.99/mo for 36 months vs $32.95/mo public display, cycle unconfirmed
- Check first
- ChemiCloud's $32.95 is a current display and exact billing-cycle checkout is unconfirmed; backup and cPanel upgrades can add cost; specifications do not prove performance.
Quick verdict
Choose **Bluehost Standard NVMe 4 Managed VPS** when you want a clearly stated 36-month signup price, 100GB local NVMe, unmetered bandwidth, two IPs and cPanel/WHM, and you are comfortable operating your own backup workflow.
Choose **ChemiCloud Cloud 1** when the lower $32.95 public display survives checkout for the billing cycle you actually want, one cPanel account is enough, 80GB local storage and 4TB transfer fit, and you value ChemiCloud's migration allowance. Add the real cost of backup and any larger cPanel license before calling it cheaper.
Current comparison and review pages confirm strong buyer interest in the Bluehost-versus-ChemiCloud decision and in ChemiCloud managed VPS specifically. Toolnavia does not import their ratings or benchmark claims.
Same 4GB and two cores, but different limits
Bluehost Standard NVMe 4 publishes 2 vCPU, 4GB DDR5, 100GB NVMe, unmetered bandwidth and two included IPs. ChemiCloud Cloud 1 publishes 2 CPUs, 4GB RAM, 80GB NVMe, 4TB bandwidth and a dedicated IP.
The raw compute labels are close enough for a fair capacity-planning comparison, but not for a speed claim. CPU generation, host contention, storage implementation, web stack and workload all affect real performance. Toolnavia did not run matched application tests.
Bluehost's extra 20GB of local storage may matter for large media libraries, staging copies or local cPanel backup jobs. ChemiCloud's 4TB transfer is generous for many business sites, but it is still a published allowance rather than Bluehost's unmetered label. Estimate real monthly storage and transfer use before buying.
Price: term-specific versus display-specific
Bluehost's live Managed VPS page explicitly ties **$49.99/month** to a **36-month term**. The opening-term base model is therefore $49.99 × 36 = **$1,799.64** before tax and extras.
ChemiCloud shows **$32.95/month** on both its VPS and pricing pages, versus a $59.95 reference. But the VPS page simultaneously says the selected timeframe is not available. That means $32.95 should not be multiplied into a guaranteed 36-month total unless the exact cart confirms a 36-month cycle at that rate.
If $32.95 were available for the same 36 months, the arithmetic would be $1,186.20 and the gap would be **$613.44** in ChemiCloud's favor. That is a scenario, not a checkout fact.
Calculate only after the provider binds the price to the billing cycle. For ChemiCloud, verify the cycle and amount due. For Bluehost, verify the actual order total and renewal even though the introductory term is explicit.
cPanel account count can reverse the apparent bargain
Bluehost includes cPanel/WHM with Standard NVMe 4. Its public product and plan-comparison pages do not require a separate add-on calculation for the basic included panel.
ChemiCloud includes **cPanel Solo**, which covers one cPanel account. If you need separate accounts for several clients, the monthly economics change: Admin up to five accounts is currently $19.95/month and Pro up to 30 is $29.95/month.
One business WordPress site may be perfectly happy with Solo. An agency moving ten isolated cPanel accounts should not compare $32.95 against $49.99 and stop there. Count the cPanel accounts you actually need, not just the number of websites.
Backups narrow the price gap
ChemiCloud sells Cloud Remote Backup separately for VPS. The 80GB tier is **$9.95/month** and provides daily off-site JetBackup recovery points with up to 30 days of restore history.
Add that to the current $32.95 Cloud 1 display and the visible monthly stack becomes **$42.90** before tax or other add-ons. That is still below Bluehost's $49.99 signup rate, but the gap narrows from $17.04 to **$7.09/month**—again assuming Cloud 1's base display is orderable for your chosen cycle.
Bluehost's current KVM VPS backup policy takes a different path: customers are responsible for their own backups because courtesy backups are no longer maintained, and Bluehost points users to WHM/cPanel backup configuration.
So Bluehost needs a real backup budget too. External object storage, another server or a third-party backup service can have a cost. “No provider backup add-on selected” is not the same as zero backup cost.
Refund windows change migration risk
ChemiCloud's current terms give VPS Hosting a **7-day** money-back guarantee. Add-ons such as Cloud Remote Backup and cPanel license upgrades are excluded, and monthly-billing renewals are non-refundable.
Bluehost lists a **30-day** money-back guarantee for Managed VPS, subject to current policy and exclusions.
Seven days can be enough for a planned cutover and restore test, but it leaves less time for traffic, cron, mail, DNS and workload validation. If testing is part of your purchase decision, schedule the migration immediately after activation rather than spending most of the refund window on nonessential setup.
Migration and managed-service scope need to match
ChemiCloud says free migration requested within 60 days can cover up to **200 cPanel accounts** or up to **10 non-cPanel websites**, with separate non-cPanel email limits. Additional migrations can be charged.
That allowance is potentially valuable, but it must be read beside the destination license: Cloud 1 includes only cPanel Solo. Moving many cPanel accounts for free does not mean you can operate them all under a one-account license without an upgrade.
Bluehost markets Managed VPS as reducing server administration, while its support documentation says many tasks are handled with support assistance or on request rather than automatically.
ChemiCloud calls Cloud 1 fully managed, but your team still owns application updates, access control, restore verification, DNS decisions and migration timing. Build a responsibility matrix for OS work, malware response, PHP/database tuning, backups, restores, DNS, email and application updates. Confirm expensive assumptions in writing.
Checkout checklist
For **Bluehost**, confirm Standard NVMe 4 Managed VPS, the 36-month term, $49.99/month signup reference, total due, 2 vCPU, 4GB RAM, 100GB NVMe, cPanel/WHM, two IPs, data-center location, backup destination and the renewal shown for your order.
For **ChemiCloud**, confirm Cloud 1, the actual selectable billing cycle, the checkout amount rather than only the $32.95 page display, 2 CPUs, 4GB RAM, 80GB NVMe, 4TB transfer, cPanel Solo account count, backup add-on selection and the seven-day VPS refund window.
If you need multiple isolated cPanel accounts, price the exact ChemiCloud license before comparing totals.
Who should buy which?
**Buy Bluehost Standard NVMe 4** when price certainty for the 36-month opening term, 100GB storage, unmetered bandwidth, two IPs and a longer refund window matter more than the lower ChemiCloud display.
**Buy ChemiCloud Cloud 1** when its $32.95 display is confirmed in your actual checkout, 80GB/4TB is enough, one cPanel account fits—or you have priced the license upgrade—and its migration service materially reduces your move cost.
**Bottom line:** ChemiCloud has the lower public display, while Bluehost has the clearer term-specific offer. The winner can change quickly once you price cPanel account count, backups and the real billing cycle.
