InterServer Standard vs ChemiCloud Pro: Unlimited Storage or 4GB RAM?

The short answer

InterServer Standard and ChemiCloud Pro both allow multiple websites, but they optimize for different constraints. InterServer Standard publishes **1 CPU core, 2GB memory, 400,000 inodes** and **unlimited storage/transfer for normal hosting use**. ChemiCloud Pro publishes **2 CPU cores, 4GB memory, 35GB NVMe** and **20 daily backups**.

That makes the practical choice easy to frame: InterServer favors a wider storage policy and lower published renewal path; ChemiCloud Pro favors more CPU/RAM and much denser recovery points. Neither is automatically faster, because no controlled benchmark was run and shared-hosting performance depends on workload, caching and platform scheduling.

Quick verdict

Choose **InterServer Standard** when normal-use storage flexibility, DirectAdmin, a clearly published US$7 monthly renewal path and low long-term hosting cost matter more than 4GB RAM or daily provider backups.

Choose **ChemiCloud Pro** when 2 CPU cores, 4GB RAM, 20 daily recovery points and a 35GB NVMe ceiling fit your portfolio better—and you are prepared to re-check the much higher renewal reference before the first term ends.

Promotional pricing is not directly comparable

InterServer publishes unusually explicit billing options. Standard starts at **US$2.50 for month one**, then shows **US$7/month** renewal. A 12-month first term is **US$30**, with a published **US$84** renewal total; 24 months is US$60 initially and US$168 on renewal.

ChemiCloud's current Pro product page displays **US$2.95/month** against **US$17.95**. If a 36-month cart actually preserves US$2.95, simple arithmetic would be US$106.20. But ChemiCloud's own February 2026 pricing guide still lists **US$3.49/month for 36 months**, or US$125.64.

That is a genuine first-party conflict, not a number to average. The current product page is the freshest public promotion, while the actual cart controls the orderable term and invoice.

Renewal exposure is very different

InterServer's monthly path shows US$7 after the first month, and its term table publishes corresponding 12- and 24-month renewal totals. That makes the long-term cash model unusually transparent for a shared host.

ChemiCloud's terms say promotional rates apply to the first term and renewal uses the then-current standard rate. The current Pro page places **US$17.95** beside the promotional price, but the future invoice still must be confirmed in the account before renewal.

For a buyer who dislikes large promotional jumps, InterServer's current billing structure is easier to budget. ChemiCloud can still be the better technical fit if the extra memory, CPU and backup frequency reduce operational risk.

2GB versus 4GB is capacity, not a speed score

InterServer Standard publishes a baseline of 1 CPU core, 2GB memory, 100 processes, 30 entry processes and 400,000 inodes.

ChemiCloud Pro lists 2 CPU cores and 4GB memory. For several dynamic WordPress sites, background jobs or a heavier admin workload, that larger published envelope gives more room before account-level CPU or memory ceilings are reached.

But doubling RAM and CPU does not promise double performance. If sites are cacheable and low-concurrency, InterServer's smaller envelope can still be enough. If one account regularly runs WooCommerce, builders, imports or cron-heavy plugins, capacity headroom deserves more weight.

Unlimited storage does not mean archive storage

InterServer Standard advertises unlimited storage and data transfer for normal website and email use. That policy does not turn shared hosting into general backup, sync or archive storage. The same account still has finite CPU, memory, process and inode limits.

ChemiCloud Pro instead gives a fixed **35GB NVMe** ceiling. That is easier to model but less forgiving for large media libraries.

A media-heavy, low-compute site portfolio may prefer InterServer's storage policy. A smaller portfolio with more dynamic PHP/database work may rationally prefer ChemiCloud's 4GB memory even with less disk.

Weekly versus daily backups can dominate the decision

InterServer Standard uses weekly JetBackup with **four retained backup points**. Daily backups are associated with higher Boost tiers, not Standard.

ChemiCloud Pro lists **20 daily backups** with one-click restore.

If data changes every day—orders, memberships, comments, editorial changes—the difference between four weekly points and 20 daily points is material. A restore from seven days ago can lose much more live data than a recent daily point.

Neither provider backup should be your only copy. Keep an independent offsite backup before migrations, updates and high-risk changes, and test a restore.

Control-panel and migration workflow also differ

InterServer Standard uses DirectAdmin and includes migration support, SSL, Cloudflare CDN, LiteSpeed and SSH.

ChemiCloud Pro targets a cPanel-style shared-hosting workflow with managed shared resources and one-click backup restore. Exact migration scope, domain benefits and data-center options should be confirmed in the current cart rather than assumed from a generic provider comparison.

If your team already has DirectAdmin workflows, InterServer can reduce retraining. If your sites are standardized around cPanel-style shared hosting and frequent restore points, ChemiCloud may be simpler operationally.

Independent comparisons establish intent, not a performance winner

Recent independent pages show that buyers actively compare ChemiCloud and InterServer. Their ratings and benchmark summaries are not used here because the current resource limits, prices and backup cadence come directly from the providers.

Checkout checklist

For **InterServer Standard**, confirm the selected first term, matching renewal total, DirectAdmin, 1 CPU/2GB baseline, 30 entry processes, 400,000 inodes, normal-use storage policy, weekly/four-point backups and migration scope.

For **ChemiCloud Pro**, confirm whether the cart actually offers the current US$2.95 display, selected term and total, renewal rate, 2 CPU/4GB, 35GB NVMe, 20 daily backups, domain conditions and taxes.

**Bottom line:** InterServer Standard is stronger for storage flexibility and a lower, clearer renewal path. ChemiCloud Pro is stronger for published compute headroom and recovery frequency. Pick the bottleneck you are most likely to hit—not the smallest promotional monthly number.
