Renewal math

HostArmada's first invoice makes every upgrade look inexpensive. The current plan and price data come from the official shared-hosting table. Current 36-month totals are $71.64 for Start Dock, $118.44 for Web Warp and $142.20 for Speed Reaper. At displayed regular rates, a three-year renewal budget becomes about $358.20, $592.20 or $711.00.

Web Warp is only $46.80 more than Start Dock initially, but roughly $234 more over a three-year renewal. Speed Reaper is only $23.76 above Web Warp initially, yet about $118.80 more at renewal. These current USD figures are not future invoice promises.

Keep what you use

Keep Start Dock for one site comfortably under 15GB when 2 cores/2GB and seven backup days are enough. Keep Web Warp when multiple sites, 30GB, 4 cores/4GB or 14 backup days are actually used. Keep Speed Reaper only when its extra 10GB, 6 cores/6GB, 21 backup days and top-tier caching/HTTP3 solve a specific need. Entitlements are not measured speed guarantees.

Audit 30 days before renewal

Record storage, live sites, traffic-sensitive apps and backup dates used. Compare them with the lower tier. HostArmada allows downgrades when the target can contain the service; support processes them and unused value may become credit.

Do not wait for expiry. Unpaid shared hosting can be suspended, data retained 30 days and reactivation may cost $9.95; later deletion may be unrecoverable. Keep an independent backup because provider backups are best-effort/as-is.

Verify the invoice

The widget says the 36-month cycle saves 15% on regular price, while policy says promotional purchases renew at regular price unless specific terms say otherwise. We budget with displayed regular rates and do not assume the 15% survives renewal. Check the account invoice. The cancellation and refund terms also exclude renewals from the initial shared-hosting guarantee.

Research context: we reviewed seven independent renewal, plan-choice and downgrade pages; they supply market context, while official HostArmada pages control current facts.

Bottom line

Bottom line: Start Dock for one small site; Web Warp when the middle-tier bundle is used; Speed Reaper only for documented capacity/caching needs. Downgrade before invoicing if entitlement is unused.
