ChemiCloud Starter Cancellation & Refund: Export Before the 9 AM Cutoff

The short answer

ChemiCloud Starter buyers should treat cancellation, refund review, data export, domain transfer and DNS cutover as separate jobs. The current Starter offer is a one-site shared-hosting product, while ChemiCloud's terms use a distinct **7-day request window for unexpected Shared/WordPress renewals** and exclude monthly-cycle renewals from refund.

Cancel timing is destructive

ChemiCloud offers **Immediate** cancellation and **End of Billing Period**. Immediate requests are processed by the daily 9 AM EST job; end-of-period requests preserve the paid term. Because the hosting account can be terminated without restoration after cancellation, export and test first.

Refund review is separate from cancellation

Initial money-back coverage, an unexpected renewal, a monthly renewal and domain/add-on charges are different cases. For a renewal dispute, preserve the invoice and payment date, cancel correctly, then ask Billing for a written decision that states whether the outcome is a partial original-payment refund or account credit.

Export the hosting account first

ChemiCloud documents a full-account JetBackup 5 download. Generate it, move it outside the hosting account, and verify files and databases. Record PHP version, cron jobs, redirects, database users and external services that may not be obvious in the archive.

Move mail separately

Roundcube's documented export is message-level .eml, not a promised one-click whole-mailbox export. For full mailbox history, use a supported IMAP/mail-client migration and verify folders, aliases, MX and authentication before DNS is switched.

Domain and DNS are separate controls

A ChemiCloud-registered domain can expose its EPP code for registrar transfer, while nameservers can be changed independently. DNS propagation may take up to 24 hours. Build the destination, migrate data and mail, switch DNS, test HTTPS/mail, then cancel hosting last.

Other hosts do not define ChemiCloud rights

SiteGround, Bluehost, DreamHost and Hostinger each use different refund timing and refund types. Their rules do not expand ChemiCloud's Shared/WordPress renewal window or change the monthly-renewal exclusion.

Exit checklist

Before Request Cancellation: verify a full backup; sync mail; record DNS/MX/SPF/DKIM; test the destination; confirm domain registrar status; choose Immediate versus End of Billing Period; and save Billing's written refund/credit decision.
