Softr Business vs Pro: Are 100 Client Users & 1M Records Worth $230/Month More?
The short answer
Softr Pro versus Business is a scale-and-governance decision. Pro currently costs $99/month with 10 team users, 50 client users, 500,000 database records and 10,000 workflow actions. Business is $329/month with 30 team users, 100 client users, 1 million records and 25,000 workflow actions.
At a glance
- Best for
- A company that needs more than 50 client users, more than 10 team users, more than 500,000 database records, more than 10,000 workflow actions, or Business-only governance such as 2FA and global data restrictions.
- Price model
- Pro $99/month; Business $329/month
- Check first
- Business is not Enterprise: SSO, SCIM and audit logs remain higher-level controls; extra users can add cost.
Client user 51 is the clean capacity trigger
A client portal with 20, 30 or even 45 active client users can stay comfortably on Pro. Once a real 51st client user needs access, the default Pro allowance is no longer enough. Business doubles the client-user capacity to 100.
Team-user capacity also rises from 10 to 30, which matters when multiple departments need direct app access.
Data and workflow limits can trigger Business first
Pro includes 500K records and 10K workflow actions per month. Business moves to 1M records and 25K actions. An operations app can therefore outgrow Pro through automation volume or data size before it outgrows client users.
When a workflow hits its execution limit, Softr says workflows can pause until the limit renews or the workspace is upgraded. That makes the action ceiling operationally important for business-critical automations.
Governance is a different reason to upgrade
Business adds 2FA, domain-restricted signup and global data restrictions. These controls can justify Business even below the hard user/record limits when a production app contains sensitive internal or client data.
Do not confuse Business with Enterprise. SSO, SCIM and audit logs remain Enterprise-level controls in current Softr positioning.
PWA and support can matter for daily operational apps
Business also adds installable PWA behavior, push notifications and priority support/onboarding. Those features have value when the app is becoming a daily system used by a broader organization, not just a lightweight internal tool.
The price premium is substantial
Business costs $230 more per month than Pro, or $2,760 over 12 months at the current plan rates. That amount should remove a real capacity, governance or deployment constraint.
Compare other no-code operating models
Glide, Airtable and Stacker package users, records, automations and client access differently. If the bottleneck is specifically end-user pricing or team seats, compare those commercial structures before upgrading.
Softr has a public partner program, but Toolnavia approval and tracking are unverified.
Buying rule
Stay Pro while 50 client users, 10 team users, 500K records and 10K workflow actions leave comfortable headroom and its granular permissions are sufficient. Move to Business when client user 51+, larger data/automation volume, 2FA/global restrictions, PWA/push or stronger onboarding/support becomes a recurring production requirement.
