Intego ONE Renewal Charged? Check the 30-Day Refund Window
The short answer
Direct Intego ONE website renewals may qualify for conditional refunds. Match the receipt with the old expiry before choosing to keep the term or request a refund; active coverage is not a reason to wait.

At a glance
- Best for
- An Essential website customer reconciling an actual renewal receipt before deciding whether to keep the term or request a conditional refund.
- Price model
- October 31 public Essential 1 Mac/year reference: USD29.99 initial, USD39.99 annual renewal plus applicable tax; verify your actual bill and notice.
- Check first
- No universal approval or precise early-charge deadline; retailer and business terms can differ, and upcoming account fields do not prove a past charge.
Reconcile the charge date with the old expiry
Intego's policy includes direct website renewals and asks customers to contact support within 30 days of the purchase date. Its October 27 renewal guide also says payment partners can collect the renewal fee before the subscription expires. A future expiry therefore does not establish that the renewal is still unpaid.
**Illustration only:** a renewal receipt is dated October 20, while the previous notice listed November 1 as the old expiry. Those dates describe different events. Keep both records; do not wait for November 1 simply because protection still appears active.
The policy does not separately explain how an early charge and a later coverage date affect the request deadline. Contact support promptly using the actual receipt and ask it to confirm the applicable deadline. This example is neither a real customer bill nor a definitive calendar calculation.
Identify the order behind the payment name
Check where the subscription was purchased. Intego's terms say website subscription purchases and refunds use third-party payment companies. The current Essential checkout names Stripe, while the renewal guide also lists FastSpring and 2Checkout. A processor's name alone does not establish that the order falls outside Intego's website policy. Preserve the original order link and receipt so support can identify the route.
An order through another retailer can have different terms. Business-account software also has an explicit exception; Intego directs those customers to their Sales Account Manager. Do not extend the consumer website guarantee to every seller or account.
The renewal wording matters more than the headline number of days. Parallels' own 30-day return policy excludes renewal transactions, whereas Intego's cited policy includes direct renewals. That comparison illustrates a policy difference, not a recommendation to switch products.
Check the amount before buying another term
The current public Essential checkout for **one Mac and one year** shows **USD 29.99 initially and USD 39.99 per renewal year**, plus applicable tax, with renewal-price changes permitted after advance notice. This is an October 31 public reference; check your own renewal against the actual bill and notice.
Open **Billing & Invoices → Billing Info** to see the upcoming renewal amount and date, also shown under Your Plan. These entries concern the next renewal; the receipt records the charge already taken. Intego explains that plan, term and device count matter, and introductory discounts do not automatically carry forward.
Essential contains antivirus and firewall; our [Essential guide](/en/software/intego-one-essential) covers product fit. If you still need that coverage, compare keeping the renewed term with the cost and work of replacing it. Do not buy another introductory term merely to resolve uncertainty about this renewal.
Send a request tied to the identified renewal
For an eligible website order, use the refund policy's **Submit a request** link. The form provides email, subject, description, product, country and attachments, giving you one official place to supply the subscription details and reason the policy requests. It does not promise approval or priority handling.
Useful wording to adapt:
> Please review the renewal charged on [date], order [number], for [amount and currency]. I request a refund because [reason]. The previous expiry was [date]; please confirm the applicable request deadline.
Attach the relevant receipt and retain the submitted message and any acknowledgment. If the displayed account dates differ, state both; an unexplained screenshot is less useful than identifying which charge you want reviewed.
The policy says a request meeting its conditions will be processed within 14 days. That is conditional processing language, not a guarantee of approval or the day a credit will appear on a bank statement.
Record the account outcome you choose
Keeping the paid term does not require leaving future renewal active. In **Billing & Invoices → Billing Info**, select **Turn Off Auto-Renewal**, confirm the pop-up, then verify **Auto-Renewal: Off** and the expiration date. Intego says the paid term remains usable; this control does not return the recent payment.
The checkout refers to Your Plan and cancellation before midnight on the renewal date, while current help documents advance collection. Once a receipt exists, do not treat that checkout wording as permission to postpone a refund request.
If a refund is processed, the policy requires deleting and uninstalling the software. Do not assume the keep-until-expiry rule still applies after a refund. Resolve the identified renewal before making another purchase.
