Grammarly Pro Monthly vs Annual: Is 5 Months the Break-Even?
The short answer
Grammarly Pro currently costs $30 monthly, $60 quarterly or $144 annually. If Pro is already the right feature tier, the useful question is how long you expect to keep paying.
At a glance

- Someone who already knows Pro is useful and wants the least-wasteful term for a project, semester, job search or ongoing writing.

The monthly break-even is five months
Five monthly payments cost $150, already above the $144 annual price. For one or two uncertain months, monthly still protects flexibility. For continuous use that reaches month five, annual becomes cheaper than repeated monthly billing.
Quarterly owns the middle
One quarter costs $60 and two quarters cost $120. That makes quarterly useful for a roughly three-to-six-month semester, contract or job search. At six months it is still $24 below annual. A third quarter costs $180 total, so annual wins by nine months.
Feature value still has to be real
Pro includes advanced writing features and 2,000 published prompts. A lower effective monthly cost is not a saving if the subscription goes unused. Use the current 7-day official trial to see whether Pro is actually part of your recurring workflow.
Other writing tools use different commitment models
QuillBot also publishes monthly, quarterly and annual terms; ProWritingAid offers monthly, annual and lifetime paths; LanguageTool offers several durations. That is why term flexibility matters as much as headline annual price.
An independent review previously reported a different trial length, but the current official Grammarly page controls the present 7-day reference.
Buying rule
Choose monthly for one or two uncertain months. Consider quarterly for roughly three to six months. Choose annual when you expect continuous use past the five-month monthly break-even or well into a third quarter. Recheck regional price, tax, renewal and the current trial before paying.
