Brevo Standard Extra Seats: Is User #2 Worth $12/Month?

The short answer

Brevo Standard includes one marketing seat. A second or third marketing user costs $12/month each, and Standard allows up to three marketing seats. That makes team access an incremental-cost decision, not a free collaboration feature.

At a glance

Best for
A team where a second or third person needs recurring campaign, contact, automation or reporting access under separate permissions.

Standard caps marketing seats at three; mid-cycle additions can create prorated charges.

One extra seat is $144 per year

A $12 monthly add-on becomes $144 over 12 months. Two extra marketing seats add $288/year before the base Brevo plan, send-volume, contact, sales-seat, tax or other charges.

The right question is not whether $12 sounds small. It is whether the teammate needs recurring independent access often enough to justify a permanent seat.

Separate logins improve accountability

Brevo lets the owner assign permissions for contacts, campaigns, automation, billing and other areas. A real second marketer can therefore work under their own login rather than sharing the owner account.

That is useful when activity, permissions and responsibility need to stay separated.

Occasional collaborators may not need a seat

If a designer only sends a template once a month, or an executive only needs a report, paying $144/year for a permanent seat may be unnecessary. A lighter handoff or exported report can be cheaper.

The third seat doubles the add-on cost

Owner + two extra marketing users means $24/month in seat add-ons, or $288/year. Standard still caps marketing seats at three, so a larger team should compare the next plan instead of stacking workarounds.

Mid-cycle additions can create prorated charges

Brevo says paid user additions can create an immediate prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing cycle, followed by the normal recurring charge. Budget the timing of the invite, not only the headline $12.

Compare other team-pricing models

HubSpot, GetResponse, Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign all package users differently. If team size is growing faster than email volume, user licensing can matter as much as send limits.

Buying rule

Keep the included Standard seat when one person can own the workflow. Add seat #2 or #3 when a teammate needs recurring independent access and permissions often enough to justify $144/year per seat.
