Quick verdict
Choose **Pressidium Starter** when the purchase is really about reducing operational responsibility for one important WordPress site. Its current official annual surface shows **$299 paid today**, displayed as about **$25/month**, for one site, 10GB storage, a 50K monthly-visit design target and 50GB of CDN traffic.
Choose **Bluehost Business** when site capacity and low acquisition cost matter more. The current 36-month card is **$6.99/month**, or **$251.64 prepaid for three years**, for up to 50 websites and 50GB NVMe storage. The matching 36-month renewal is **$13.99/month**, or $503.64 for another 36 months.
These are not equivalent terms. Pressidium's $299 buys one year; Bluehost's $251.64 buys three introductory years. The sticker-price gap is real, but the decision is managed operations for one site versus shared-hosting capacity for many.
Cash commitment: $299 for one year vs $251.64 for three
| Exact plan | Cash due for compared term | Effective monthly figure | What the term buys | |---|---:|---:|---| | Pressidium Starter, annual | $299 | about $24.92 | 12 months, 1 managed WordPress site | | Bluehost Business, 36 months | $251.64 | $6.99 | 36 months, up to 50 sites |
Pressidium's page says annual billing includes two months free, displays $25/month and says **pay $299 today**. The one-dollar difference between $25 × 12 and the checkout copy is why this guide uses $299 as the cash figure.
Bluehost requires the full three-year commitment to get $6.99. Do not compare that rate with a hypothetical Pressidium three-year total: Pressidium's public page does not publish a locked three-year term.
Renewal: Bluehost is term-specific; Pressidium needs live-cart confirmation
Bluehost's renewal table resolves what can look like contradictory numbers. Business renewal is **$20.99/month on monthly billing, $15.99/month on a 12-month term, and $13.99/month on 36 months**. The sales card's $13.99 renewal therefore belongs to the selected 36-month term—not every Business purchase.
Pressidium publishes the annual checkout amount and says annual billing receives two months free, but it does not show a separate higher annual renewal amount. Three current independent pricing/review pages still show the older $21 entry point; because the official page now says $25 and $299 annual, those pages are treated only as dated change evidence, not the price a buyer should expect. That is not permission to promise price locking. Record the renewal shown in checkout or the account before paying.
For a clean budget, capture five lines: amount due today, next renewal total and date, domain renewal, email cost, and any CDN or add-on charge.
What the Pressidium premium buys
Starter includes one WordPress site, 10GB storage, a 50K monthly-visit design target, 50GB CDN traffic, one free migration, staging, managed WordPress/PHP updates, on-demand backups and **30-day automated backup retention**. Pressidium's separate backup guide also documents instant and offsite backup facilities.
Pressidium also documents managed SSL, WAF, brute-force blocking, malware scanning and cleanup, plus managed security updates. Its proposition is operational: a small team pays more so the host handles a larger portion of platform security, recovery and troubleshooting.
That does not prove Pressidium is faster. No controlled same-site benchmark was used. It also does not include email accounts; Pressidium recommends a specialist email provider.
What Bluehost Business buys instead
Business lists up to **50 websites**, 50GB NVMe and an approximately 200K-visit monthly design point. It includes a first-year domain, SSL, CDN, malware scanning/removal, WAF, DDoS protection, weekly backups, managed WordPress updates, staging, a migration tool, chat and phone support.
For brochure sites, landing pages or small blogs, that capacity can make Bluehost dramatically cheaper per site. The tradeoff is responsibility. Weekly backups are not the same as Pressidium's 30-day managed backup set, and a broad shared-hosting bundle is not the same service model as a host positioning expert engineers around one managed site.
Usage caps and add-on economics
Pressidium Starter is designed for 50K unique visits per month and includes 50GB CDN traffic. The plan page says excess CDN is billed at **$0.10/GB**, while sustained visit overages prompt an upgrade rather than automatic visit penalties. An extra site costs **$15/month per site**, so repeatedly adding sites can erase the logic of Starter.
Bluehost's 200K-visit figure is an ideal-use indicator, not a guaranteed performance allocation. Its 50-site headline should not be treated as 50 equally busy stores. Plugin weight, traffic shape and databases still matter.
Trial and refund boundaries
Pressidium offers a **14-day trial** with no automatic charge; it includes up to two trial sites, 10K visits and 5GB storage. The account expires automatically if you do not upgrade. Its plan FAQ advertises a 60-day money-back guarantee but explicitly excludes annual plans. Since the $299 comparison is annual, do not sell it as refund-protected.
Bluehost publishes a 30-day hosting money-back guarantee. Domains and most add-ons have exclusions, and retaining a free domain can reduce the refund.
Which plan fits your workload?
Choose Pressidium Starter if:
- one site materially affects revenue or reputation; - 50K monthly visits and 10GB are enough; - 30-day backups, staging, migration and managed security reduce real work; - you already budget separately for email.
Choose Bluehost Business if:
- you need several small sites or the 50-site ceiling; - $251.64 prepaid for three years is acceptable; - weekly backups and the shared-hosting support model are enough; - you are prepared for the $13.99 monthly-equivalent renewal on another 36-month term.
Neither plan wins by specification alone. Your operational model decides.
Checkout checklist
1. Select the exact billing term and save the amount due today. 2. Save the renewal total, date and term—not only a monthly equivalent. 3. Confirm domain, email, CDN and security add-ons. 4. For Pressidium, verify the annual refund exclusion and CDN overage. 5. For Bluehost, verify the 36-month renewal row and domain/add-on refund rules. 6. Do not infer speed from site-count or visit guidance.
Bottom line
**Pressidium Starter is the managed-operations choice. Bluehost Business is the capacity-and-price choice.** The annual Pressidium bill is higher than Bluehost's entire three-year introductory hosting bill, so Pressidium only makes sense when its deeper one-site support replaces real work or risk. Bluehost is the rational value choice for many smaller sites, provided you price the selected renewal term before checkout.
