TOOLNAVIA / BUYING GUIDE
Pressidium Starter vs Rocket.net Starter: $249 Trial or $300 Flexibility
The short answer
Choose Pressidium Starter when you want the lower $249 annual bill and a 14-day trial before paying. Choose Rocket.net Starter when $300 per year is acceptable and unlimited migrations plus a 30-day refund window matter more.
Affiliate disclosure: Toolnavia may earn a commission from a qualifying Pressidium purchase. Pressidium is approved for ordinary editorial referrals. Rocket.net has an open cash affiliate program, but Toolnavia has no approved account evidence, so Rocket.net links on this page are non-tracked official links.
The shared baseline is unusually close: both paid Starter plans include one WordPress site, 10GB storage, 50GB delivery bandwidth, staging, security tooling and managed backups. That makes evaluation timing, migration entitlement and policy clarity the useful tie-breakers.
At a glance
- Best for
- One-site buyers comparing a lower annual commitment against unlimited migrations and a longer refund window.
- Price model
- Pressidium $249/year; Rocket.net $300/year

- Rocket.net's current official pages conflict on visitor wording; prices, promotions and policies can change.
The annual gap is $51, not a different storage tier
Pressidium asks for $249 today on annual billing, about $21/month equivalent. Its regular monthly rate is $24.90; the separate $1 first-month promotion applies to monthly plans and should not be mixed into the annual arithmetic.
Rocket.net lists Starter at $30 month-to-month or $25/month billed annually, so the annual commitment is $300. It also advertises $1 for the first month and says it does not raise the plan price at renewal.
The $51 annual difference does not buy more local disk or delivery bandwidth: both current plan tables show one site, 10GB storage and 50GB CDN/bandwidth. Compare the evaluation and migration models instead.
Pressidium lowers prepayment risk; Rocket.net gives a longer refund window
Pressidium's 14-day trial is a real prepayment advantage. It supports a functional environment, staging, backups and a free migration, and the trial does not automatically charge at the end. The trial allowance is its own temporary environment; do not mistake the two-site trial limit for the one-site paid Starter plan.
Rocket.net's main pricing page uses a different model: pay first, then rely on a 30-day money-back guarantee. Its $1 first month reduces initial cash exposure, while unlimited free migrations make it practical to test a copied site before changing DNS.
Choose based on the risk you need to remove: payment commitment before technical validation, or a longer paid evaluation after migration.
The Rocket.net visitor number conflicts across official pages
Rocket.net's current main pricing table says Starter has unmetered visitors, 50GB bandwidth and 30-day backup retention. A still-live official promotion page says 250,000 visitors for the same Starter price and storage.
Toolnavia treats the main pricing table as the purchase baseline because it is the current plan table, but the conflict matters. “Unmetered” also does not mean unlimited resources: the plan still has 50GB bandwidth and other platform controls. Before purchase, ask Rocket.net support to confirm which visitor policy will appear on your order.
Pressidium is clearer: Starter is designed for 50K unique visits per month and includes 50GB CDN bandwidth. CDN overage is listed at $0.10/GB.
Backups look similar at the headline, but verify the restore workflow
Both providers advertise automated daily backups and 30-day offsite or plan retention. Pressidium's documentation separates 15-day instant backups from 30-day offsite backups, so the restore path and timing are not identical.
A business-critical site should test one restore before DNS cutover and keep an independent export outside either host. Included backups reduce operational work; they do not transfer ownership of recovery planning.
Migration volume is the practical tie-breaker
Pressidium Starter includes one free white-glove migration. That fits a buyer moving one production site and wanting the lower annual bill plus a no-charge trial.
Rocket.net advertises unlimited free migrations, which is useful when the purchase supports repeated test moves, a complex cutover or future inbound migrations—even though the paid Starter plan hosts only one WordPress install at a time.
Current independent pages also show the same buying questions—price, CDN/WAF, backups, migration and one-site fit—but Toolnavia does not reuse their scores or performance claims as its own testing.
Decision
Choose Pressidium Starter when one professional site fits the 50K-visit design target, $249 annual billing is attractive, and you want a 14-day no-auto-charge trial before committing.
Choose Rocket.net Starter when the extra $51 per year is acceptable, you value unlimited migrations and a 30-day refund window, and support confirms the visitor policy you expect. Do not choose it solely because one landing page says 250,000 visits while the main table says unmetered.
Next step: copy the same site to the preferred host, test staging, one backup restore, admin responsiveness and a support question, then change DNS only after the rollback copy is safe.
