HostArmada Web Warp Cancellation: The 5-Day Data Risk After Renewal
The short answer
HostArmada Web Warp cancellation is safest when refund timing, data retention, domain ownership and DNS migration are handled separately. Web Warp is the exact shared-hosting offer being discussed; HostArmada's current terms give eligible initial Shared hosting a 45-day money-back period, exclude monthly Shared purchases from a full refund, and warn that a non-renewed Shared account may be kept for **no more than five calendar days** before account data and backups are deleted.
At a glance
- Best for
- Web Warp users planning safe cancellation and domain/data exit.
- Price model
- Policy-dependent refund; no amount promised
- Check first
- Data retention is short; refund eligibility varies by cycle and fees.
Immediate or end-of-term cancellation
HostArmada lets customers request **Immediate** cancellation or cancellation at the **end of the billing period** from the Client Area. Immediate cancellation can shorten your remaining access, while end-of-term cancellation is the safer default if you still need time to verify a migration.
Export before the five-day deletion boundary
The five-day post-due-date retention language is not a backup promise. If the account is not renewed, HostArmada says the shared-hosting account, generated backups and related data can be deleted after that limited period. Treat your own off-account archive as the recovery source and test it before the service ends.
Domain transfer is a separate job
A domain registered with HostArmada does not have to disappear when hosting is canceled. To transfer it away, HostArmada documents disabling registrar lock, checking privacy protection and retrieving the EPP code. Domain registration, transfer and renewal fees are non-refundable.
If you prefer to keep the registrar relationship, HostArmada also documents leaving the domain registered and renewable even after the hosting plan expires.
Site, mail and DNS must be cut over before cancellation
HostArmada distinguishes website files, databases and email data from domain transfer and DNS configuration. Build the destination first, move the site/database/mail, update DNS, verify HTTPS and inbound/outbound mail, then cancel the old hosting only after the new path is stable.
Refund scope is provider-specific
Other hosts such as HostPapa, Verpex, Cloudways and ChemiCloud use different timing, refund types and cancellation mechanics. Their policies do not extend HostArmada's 45-day initial guarantee or remove the monthly-Shared exclusion.
Exit checklist
Before canceling Web Warp: confirm the billing cycle; save a full independent backup; verify a restore; migrate mail; record DNS/MX/SPF/DKIM; decide whether the domain stays or transfers; finish DNS propagation; choose Immediate or End of Billing Period; and save written confirmation of the cancellation/refund decision.
