Migration allowance and destination capacity are different
ChemiCloud's migration guide says eligible new customers can request free external migration within **60 days** and can receive help for up to **200 cPanel accounts** or **10 non-cPanel websites**. Cloud 1 includes **cPanel Solo**, which supports one cPanel account. The migration ceiling describes how much support may move; it does not mean the purchased Cloud 1 license can operate 200 independent accounts.
One cPanel account can still contain several websites
A single cPanel account can contain multiple sites/domains, but that differs from isolated client accounts. If your old server has several cPanel accounts, decide whether to consolidate them or buy a larger license. ChemiCloud currently lists **cPanel Admin at $19.95/month** for up to five accounts, with larger licenses priced separately.
Non-cPanel migrations need separate email planning
For non-cPanel sources, ChemiCloud limits the free website count and treats email migration separately. Before cutover, inventory mailboxes, forwarders, aliases, DNS records, cron jobs, PHP versions, SSL, database users and application configuration. Website files and databases may move while mail still requires separate reconstruction or transfer.
Managed migration does not include ongoing remote backup
Cloud 1 is managed, but **Cloud Remote Backup** is optional. The current 80GB tier is **$9.95/month** and provides daily off-site JetBackup recovery points with up to 30 days of history. Do not confuse a migration copy with a long-term recovery plan. After cutover, choose the add-on or maintain an independent off-server backup.
The VPS refund window is shorter than the migration window
ChemiCloud's terms currently give VPS purchases a **7-day** money-back window, while migration can be requested within **60 days**. So validate Cloud 1 immediately: resource fit, cPanel account count, backup strategy and real application behavior should be tested inside the refund period even if migration is scheduled later.
