Canceling ChemiCloud Cloud 1: 7-Day Refund Window and a Safe VPS Exit
The short answer
ChemiCloud Cloud 1 buyers should treat cancellation as a server-exit project. VPS Hosting has a 7-day refund window—not 45 days—and Immediate cancellation may terminate at the next 9 AM EST run. Export and test before requesting cancellation.
At a glance
- Best for
- Cloud 1 owners who need a seven-day-policy-aware, restore-tested VPS exit.
- Price model
- VPS uses a 7-day activation-based window; exclusions apply
- Check first
- Only ChemiCloud can approve the exact refund; immediate cancellation can terminate at the daily run.
1. Separate cancellation, refund and data deletion
Cancellation stops the service at the selected time. A refund depends on the exact Cloud 1 transaction, activation date and exclusions. Data deletion follows termination and is not reversed by opening a billing ticket. The account owner must cancel through Client Area, and ChemiCloud says a canceled service is terminated without a restoration path. Save the invoice, activation timestamp, billing term, add-ons, policy pages and support confirmations first.
2. Cloud 1 uses the VPS 7-day rule—not the 45-day rule
The detailed refund article assigns VPS Hosting seven days from activation; the 45-day guarantee applies only to Shared Web/WordPress, Reseller and Managed WordPress Hosting. The terms use a combined “7- or 45-day” phrase, but the product-specific KB resolves the applicable window. Domains, licenses, block storage, backup add-ons and other services may be excluded; domain cost may be deducted where applicable. Do not record a refund as expected cash until Billing confirms the exact invoice in writing.
3. Choose cancellation timing only after the exit is ready
In Client Area, go to Services, open Manage Product, choose Request Cancellation and select Immediate or End of Billing Period. Immediate is not a reversible pause: the daily system cron runs at 9 AM EST. A request before it can terminate the same day; a later request can terminate at the next run. End of Billing Period preserves access until the due date but is still a hard deadline. Save screenshots of the choice and confirmation.
4. Export more than one backup
ChemiCloud's terms put backup responsibility on the customer and do not guarantee provider backups. For cPanel, the documented path is Files > JetBackup 5 > Restore & Download > Full Backups. Select a date, queue the download, then retrieve it from Downloads. Store it outside ChemiCloud, record a checksum and test that it opens. Export databases separately and preserve DNS zones, mailboxes, certificates, cron jobs, SSH keys, firewall rules, runtime versions, API secrets and allowlists. One account archive may not reproduce every VPS dependency.
5. Test the destination before production DNS
Restore under a temporary hostname or private IP. Test logins, writes, uploads, jobs, email, TLS, webhooks and IP-based integrations. Recreate DNS and lower TTL only when ready. DreamHost and Synergy Wholesale reach the same operational conclusion: migration must be finished before cancellation because server data can be permanently deleted. Keep Cloud 1 until the destination passes functional and backup-restore tests.
6. Do not confuse nonpayment with a cancellation plan
The failed-renewal sequence is separate: service remains active for one day after the due date, is suspended, and a VPS can be terminated with data deleted after three days. That is an emergency consequence, not a safe migration window and not the same as Immediate cancellation at the 9 AM EST cron. Never use failed payment to cancel. Submit a formal request and finish the move before either termination path.
7. Cut over, verify and cancel last
Control writes, make a final database dump and file sync, then update DNS and allowlists. Verify HTTPS, forms, queues, cron, mail and new backups externally. Only when new writes reach the destination and a restore test succeeds should you cancel. Inside seven days, contact Billing separately and ask for a written eligibility decision before closure; cancellation alone is not proof of refund.
Buyer takeaway
Cloud 1's exit economics are defined by a seven-day VPS window, excluded add-ons and irreversible termination—not the 45-day guarantee for other products. The safe sequence is evidence, portable backup, tested destination, final sync and cancellation last.
