Verdict

SE Ranking Growth makes sense when Core's capacity—not its basic SEO feature set—is the bottleneck. The current monthly price is $279 for Growth versus $129 for Core. On annual billing, the displayed equivalents are $223.20/month for Growth and $103.20/month for Core. The extra spend mainly buys more projects, users, tracked keywords, historical data, audit capacity, GEO monitoring, and API headroom.

Core already covers a serious SEO workload

Core currently includes 10 projects, one manager seat, 2,000 daily tracked keywords, 10 reports, 50,000 export rows, 25 content-marketing articles, 100 daily GEO prompts, and 250,000 audited pages per account. It also includes keyword, competitor, backlink research and the main reporting/integration stack.

For one in-house team or a small portfolio, those limits can be substantial. If your real problem is not capacity, paying for Growth simply because it is the higher tier can create unused headroom.

SE Ranking also offers a 14-day trial with no credit card. The trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription or charge you when it expires. Current trial limits include up to 10 projects, 750 tracked keywords per day, 20 AI prompts per day, and AI competitive research for three domains.

What Growth changes

**Projects: 10 to 30.** Growth triples the project allowance. This matters most for agencies, multi-brand teams, or operators that need separate tracking environments for many websites.

**Manager seats: 1 to 3.** Core includes one manager seat, while Growth supports up to three. SE Ranking's current user-seat documentation confirms these plan limits and discourages credential sharing because one user login is intended for one active person/session.

**Tracked keywords: 2,000 to 5,000 daily.** Growth more than doubles the daily tracked-keyword allowance. If rankings across many locations, products, or clients are consuming Core's quota, this can be a direct upgrade reason. Extra keywords can also be bought separately, so reaching one limit does not always require a full plan jump.

**More history, audits, GEO, and API capacity.** Growth expands historical data from six months to all time, daily GEO prompts from 100 to 250, AI competitive-research domains from five to 15, account audit capacity from 250,000 to 2 million pages, and on-page/SERP checks from 50 to 1,000. The detailed pricing and API documentation currently list 25K API credits/month for Core and 100K for Growth.

Monthly versus annual: the upgrade gap changes

On monthly billing, Growth costs $150 more per month than Core: $279 versus $129. Over 12 unchanged monthly payments, that is a $1,800 difference.

On annual billing, Core is displayed at $103.20/month equivalent and Growth at $223.20/month equivalent. That is a $120/month-equivalent gap, or $1,440 over a full annual term. Annual plans are billed upfront.

This means Growth is easiest to justify when the extra 20 projects, two manager seats, 3,000 tracked keywords, and larger audit/GEO/history limits replace other paid workarounds or support revenue-producing client capacity. If only one limit is tight, check the relevant add-on first.

A current API-credit wording conflict is worth noticing

SE Ranking's detailed subscription comparison and API documentation currently state 25K monthly API credits for Core and 100K for Growth. However, another current SE Ranking marketing summary says Growth includes 300K API credits.

Because the detailed pricing/API documentation agrees on 100K, this guide uses 100K as the current planning figure and treats the 300K marketing summary as a conflicting surface. If API volume is central to your purchase, confirm the quota shown inside the live checkout/account before committing.

Cancellation is easy; refunds are not a general guarantee

Paid subscriptions auto-renew. SE Ranking says a renewal email with cancellation instructions is sent seven days before renewal. Canceling disables auto-renewal immediately, but access continues through the end of the paid period. Projects remain stored but inactive for 60 days after expiration before deletion.

Current policy says paid but unused funds are generally non-refundable, except where service was not delivered as promised or a special promotion says otherwise. That is very different from a blanket 30-day money-back guarantee. Separately purchased add-ons may also need to be canceled individually.

For market context, Ahrefs Lite is currently $129/month with five unverified projects, 750 tracked keywords, one included user, and 100,000 crawl credits. Semrush SEO Toolkit Pro is $139.95/month with five websites, 500 tracked keywords, and 100,000 crawl pages per month. Mangools Basic shows $37.70/month equivalent on annual billing with 200 tracked keywords; Writesonic Starter is $79/month billed annually and focuses more heavily on AI-search visibility, prompts, AI articles, and site audits. These are pricing-and-scope references, not SEO-quality rankings.

Next step

Use the 14-day no-card trial and model your actual project, user, keyword, audit, and GEO requirements. Choose Core if 10 projects and one manager seat are enough. Choose Growth when its larger capacity prevents recurring add-on purchases or supports a multi-client workflow that earns back the $150 monthly gap.
