OptinMonster Pro vs Plus: Is Exit Intent Worth $120 More?
The short answer
OptinMonster Plus is currently promoted at $27 per month on annual billing, or $324 billed for the first year, while Pro is $37 per month, or $444 for the first year. The $120 first-year gap looks small, but the regular renewal prices shown on the same page are $570 per year for Plus and $870 for Pro—a $300 annual gap after the introductory term. Pro also raises the included campaign-impression allowance from 10,000 to 25,000 and unlocks the two features many buyers associate most strongly with OptinMonster: Exit-Intent and Revenue Attribution. The right plan therefore depends on whether those features and the extra impression capacity are actually part of your workflow.

- Pro renewal is materially higher than first-year pricing; impression usage varies by campaign display frequency and pageview add-ons can be an alternative.
Start with the renewal gap, not the first-year ad price
The current pricing page shows Plus at $324 billed today and Pro at $444, but it also shows regular renewals of $570 and $870. So the upgrade costs $120 more in year one and $300 more at the displayed renewal prices. A two-year planning total is therefore about $894 for Plus versus $1,314 for Pro, a $420 difference before tax or future price changes. That matters because a feature that feels cheap at a $10 monthly first-year gap can look very different after renewal.
Pro more than doubles the included campaign impressions
Plus includes 10,000 campaign impressions per month; Pro includes 25,000. OptinMonster explains that paid-plan pageview/impression limits reset monthly and that an impression is counted when a campaign is shown. If your popups, bars or other campaigns display frequently on a busier site, Plus can hit its allowance earlier. OptinMonster also offers 100,000-pageview add-on blocks for $29 per month, so a buyer near a limit should compare an add-on with a full plan upgrade rather than assuming Pro is always the only path.
Exit-Intent is a Pro feature, not a Plus feature
OptinMonster's own documentation says Exit-Intent is available on Pro and higher. The feature triggers a campaign when visitor behavior suggests they are about to leave. Plus already includes A/B testing, device targeting, content locking, full analytics and advanced integrations, so it is not a stripped-down plan. Pro becomes easier to justify when exit-triggered campaigns are central to the strategy rather than something you only want to experiment with once.
Revenue Attribution and deeper targeting change the use case
Revenue Attribution is also documented as a Pro-and-higher feature. Pro adds countdown timers, Smart Tags, referrer targeting, cookie, JavaScript and query targeting, campaign scheduling, webhooks, Zapier/Uncanny Automator integrations and Google Analytics support. Those tools matter more for ecommerce, higher-intent campaigns and teams that need to connect on-site messages to revenue or more complex visitor segments. They do not guarantee higher revenue; they simply provide more targeting and measurement capability.
The affiliate program is open and pays 20%
OptinMonster's current affiliate page says no product purchase is required to apply and advertises a 20% commission on successful sales. The program has an application flow, applications can be approved or rejected, and commissions are paid monthly after validation rules are satisfied. Toolnavia has not applied or been approved, so this article keeps affiliate tracking disabled and does not present a paid referral CTA as active.
Before upgrading, check three things: are you already near 10,000 monthly campaign impressions; will you actually deploy Exit-Intent; and do you need revenue attribution or advanced targeting. If all three answers are no, Plus can be the better value even though Pro has the stronger feature list. If one or more are central to your campaigns, compare Pro using the $870 renewal price—not only the $444 first-year offer.
