LearnDash 10 Sites vs 1 Site: Is $249 More Worth It?

The short answer

LearnDash's current pricing is simpler than older tier structures: the same package is sold mainly by site count. One site costs $350/year and 10 sites cost $599/year. That makes this a licensing-scale decision rather than a feature-unlock decision.

At a glance

Best for
A buyer with two or more real production WordPress learning sites, especially an agency or portfolio operator likely to use several of the ten activations.
Price model
1 site $350/year; 10 sites $599/year
Check first
Unused site activations have no value; hosting and WordPress operations remain separate costs.

The second real site changes the math

One 1-site package costs $350. Two separate 1-site purchases would total $700. The 10-site package costs $599, so once a second separately licensed production site is truly needed, the larger package is already $101 cheaper than buying two single-site packages.

That does not mean every one-site buyer should jump to 10 sites. If the second site never launches, the extra $249 is still wasted.

Effective per-site cost falls quickly

At one used site, the 10-site license effectively costs $599 for that site. At two used sites, the effective cost is about $299.50 each. At five used sites, it is about $119.80 each. If all ten activations are genuinely used, the effective cost is $59.90 per site, exactly as LearnDash displays.

The right question is not “How cheap can the per-site number look?” It is “How many production LMS sites will actually need LearnDash during the paid term?”

The feature bundle is not the differentiator

LearnDash currently lists the same broader package across the site-count options. The 10-site upgrade does not buy a different course engine; it buys more deployment rights. Hosting, maintenance, domains and WordPress operations remain separate.

Compare other LMS licensing models

LifterLMS uses 1-site, 5-site and unlimited-site bundles, Tutor LMS uses its own site-count ladder, Thinkific avoids WordPress activation counts through hosted plans, and MemberPress combines WordPress membership/course monetization differently.

LearnDash/Liquid Web has a public affiliate route, but Toolnavia approval and tracking are unverified.

Buying rule

Choose the 1-site package when only one production LMS site is real. Choose the 10-site package when a second real site needs LearnDash or when an agency/portfolio operator has several committed sites. Do not buy ten activations merely to improve a theoretical per-site price.
