Verpex Bronze Free Domain: What Happens at Renewal or Transfer?
The short answer
Verpex Bronze includes a free domain on qualifying non-monthly hosting terms, but “free domain” means **the first registration or transfer period**, not free renewals forever. The current Bronze plan supports one website, 30GB NVMe, 1GB RAM and 1 vCPU and displays a US$6/month hosting renewal.

Free domain and free renewal are different
Verpex terms say selected TLDs can receive free registration or transfer with eligible hosting, but the registration period is one year and later domain renewals use the regular renewal rate. Monthly hosting does not include the free-domain benefit.
Hosting renewal and domain renewal have separate clocks
Hosting follows the hosting billing cycle. Domain names have their own expiration date and renewal invoice. Verpex says hosting can be suspended after an overdue hosting invoice while a domain expires on its domain due date. Do not assume canceling or renewing one automatically controls the other.
If you want to transfer the domain out
For common GTLDs, unlock the domain, obtain the EPP/Auth code and submit the transfer to the new registrar. Registry rules can impose a 60-day transfer lock after registration, transfer or certain contact changes. Many transfers also include a required one-year renewal.
If you want to keep the domain but cancel hosting
Turn off hosting renewal separately and keep the domain's auto-renew enabled if you want Verpex to remain the registrar. Conversely, turning off domain auto-renew allows the registration eventually to lapse, but that is not the same as canceling hosting.
Free domain can create a renewal surprise
A buyer who chooses Bronze because “domain included” should budget the future domain renewal separately from the US$6/month hosting renewal. The exact domain renewal depends on the TLD. Premium or excluded extensions may never qualify for the free-domain offer at all.
Transfer timing matters
Do not wait until the last day before expiration to transfer. A transfer can take days and may be blocked by registry locks. Keep DNS unchanged during a registrar transfer unless you also intend to change hosting, because registrar transfer and nameserver changes are independent operations.
Independent Verpex reviews can help with general plan fit, but they do not replace official TLD eligibility, renewal and transfer rules.
Checkout checklist
Confirm the billing cycle qualifies for the free domain, the exact TLD is eligible, the domain's regular renewal price, Bronze hosting renewal, registrar lock status, EPP availability and whether you want the domain to stay at Verpex if hosting ends.
