Usage-based · plan allowances and limits

02 / Who is it for?

Developers deploying a website, API or service from application code.

03 / What should you check?

Check usage, persistent storage and database responsibilities; deployment does not maintain your code.

A guide to purpose and fit, based on the official sources below. We have not hands-on tested or scored this product.

01

What it helps you deploy

Railway supports deployment from GitHub repositories and Docker images. It is useful to compare when your starting point is application code rather than a WordPress control panel.

02

Understand the usage bill

Plan allowances and resource usage affect billing. Review memory, CPU, volume storage and outbound traffic together; a plan minimum is not a fixed maximum bill.

03

Know what remains your job

You still choose how the application stores data, handles failure and releases changes. A deployed database is not by itself a complete backup and recovery plan.

04

Try a small application first

Deploy a non-production copy, inspect the service logs and monitor normal resource use. Confirm where persistent files live before moving production content.

Follow the sources.

Features and plans can change. Confirm the terms you need before committing.
