Quick verdict

Choose **Pressidium Starter** when one revenue-critical WordPress site needs a narrower managed operating boundary, 30-day automated-backup retention and specialist DevOps escalation. Choose **HostPapa Growth** when up to five modest sites need cPanel, email and 100GB of shared NVMe storage, and your team can own more application maintenance and recovery work.

On today's published figures, a six-year planning model is **$1,794 for Pressidium** and **$717.84 for HostPapa**. The difference is **$1,076.16**, or about **$14.95 per month**. That is the practical break-even: Pressidium must save at least that much in real operating time or risk to justify its higher cash cost. This is a transparent model, not a guarantee of future prices or performance.

Put both plans on the same six-year clock

Pressidium shows Starter at $25 per month on annual billing and **$299 due today**. If that annual amount remains unchanged, six paid years equal $299 × 6 = **$1,794**. The displayed $25 monthly number is rounded; the controlling checkout figure is the $299 annual payment.

HostPapa shows Growth at **$5.95 per month on a 36-month discounted term**, so the first term is $5.95 × 36 = **$214.20**. Its official renewal table lists the three-year renewal at **$13.99 per month, billed $503.64**. Six years therefore model at $214.20 + $503.64 = **$717.84**.

The six-year gap is $1,076.16, equal to $179.36 per year or $14.95 per month. If a cart shows a different term, tax, add-on or renewal amount, recalculate before paying.

What Pressidium Starter buys

Starter publishes one WordPress site, 10GB storage, a design target of 50,000 unique visits per month and 50GB of CDN traffic. It includes 24/7 support by DevOps engineers, one premium migration, managed WordPress and PHP updates, staging, malware monitoring, a managed firewall and automated backups with 30-day retention.

Pressidium's documentation says full backups are created daily, stored off-site and retained for 30 days. Instant backups are retained for 15 days. Its infrastructure guide places daily management, backups, SSL, CDN, users and development workflow in the Pressidium dashboard.

That narrows platform work, but it does not transfer ownership of content, plugins, themes, integrations, access control or business acceptance testing. Ask support to define which application incidents it will diagnose before treating “managed” as complete outsourcing.

What HostPapa Growth buys

Growth publishes **five websites**, **100GB NVMe storage**, ten email addresses, 1GB inbox storage, staging, CDN and “2X server resources.” HostPapa describes it as shared hosting protected by CloudLinux resource isolation, not a dedicated server or a benchmark result.

The current 36-month introductory price is $5.95 per month. Renewal depends on the term you choose: the official table lists $17.99 month-to-month, $15.99 on one year, $14.99 on two years and $13.99 on three years.

Growth is therefore the stronger capacity-and-cash choice for several modest sites. But five websites share one account's CPU, memory, I/O and process limits. Save the exact resource chart and ask support for the current Growth LVE values before moving a busy store or membership site.

The backup trial can change the real bill

HostPapa's plan page says the 5GB automated-backup service is free for the first year and available only with specific terms. Its renewal page lists the 5GB backup add-on at **$71.99 per year**.

If you keep that add-on for years two through six, add $359.95 to the six-year model. HostPapa then becomes **$1,077.79**, and the gap to Pressidium narrows to **$716.21**, or about $9.95 per month. Do not call this a coupon: it is a time-limited included service with a published renewal price.

You can also create and download cPanel backups yourself, but manual capability is not the same as automated off-site recovery. HostPapa's own backup guide tells customers to keep local copies and back up after changes.

Responsibility is the real product difference

Same-intent guides consistently frame the category this way: shared hosting costs less and offers broader general-purpose control, while managed WordPress costs more to narrow updates, security, support and recovery work.

Those guides do not prove that either exact plan is faster. We ran no performance benchmark. The purchase decision is whether one important site's operational boundary is worth $14.95 per month—or about $9.95 if you would otherwise renew HostPapa's 5GB backup add-on.

Pressidium also caps the Starter plan at one site, 10GB and its published visit/CDN envelope. HostPapa Growth has more site and storage capacity but keeps more troubleshooting and recovery ownership with the buyer.

Who should choose each plan?

Choose Pressidium Starter when one site directly supports revenue, the published 10GB/50K/50GB boundaries fit with headroom, a platform incident costs more than $179.36 per year, and specialist WordPress escalation matters more than multi-site capacity.

Choose HostPapa Growth when you need two to five modest sites, 100GB and email in one account, the 36-month commitment is acceptable, and someone can maintain WordPress, test updates, watch shared-resource usage and own independent recovery.

If you need five sites but also want managed operations, compare Pressidium's higher tiers rather than forcing five production sites into a one-site Starter plan.

Checkout checklist

1. Save both carts, billing terms, tax and renewal language. 2. Confirm Pressidium's one-site, storage, visit and CDN limits against the last 90 days. 3. Ask HostPapa for the current Growth CPU, memory, I/O, inode and entry-process limits. 4. Decide whether the 5GB automated-backup add-on will be renewed after year one. 5. Keep an independent backup and test a restore. 6. Recalculate if the cart differs from $299 annually, $214.20 for the first 36 months or $503.64 for the next 36 months. 7. Confirm which plugin, theme, email and custom-code incidents are outside each support boundary.

**Evidence map.** Pressidium price, limits and included management come from its current Entry Plans page. Backup retention and dashboard responsibility come from current help pages. HostPapa intro price, capacity and included-first-year backup come from its current Growth page. Exact renewal and backup add-on figures come from the renewal table. Manual-backup responsibility comes from HostPapa's guide. Three same-intent sources support only the category responsibility frame. Independent HostPapa coverage supplies context, not controlling price.

Final recommendation

**Pressidium Starter** is the better fit for one important WordPress site when a tighter managed boundary can save at least $14.95 per month in real work or risk. **HostPapa Growth** is the better cash-and-capacity choice for up to five modest sites when you can own more application operations and renewal discipline.

Treat $1,794 versus $717.84 as a planning model. Recheck both carts, and price HostPapa's backup renewal before deciding.
