Verdict

IObit Malware Fighter 13 PRO is most useful when the Free edition's IObit-engine real-time protection is not enough and you want the extra Bitdefender engine, stronger ransomware controls, SafeBox, privacy guards, and automated maintenance across several Windows PCs. IObit's current standalone product page and Hot Deals page both list the 1-year, 3-PC PRO license at $23.99.

This is a documentation-based buying guide, not a Toolnavia malware-detection, ransomware-blocking, false-positive, or PC-performance benchmark.

Free already provides a real baseline

Malware Fighter Free is not just an on-demand scanner. The current product page lists real-time malware protection with IObit's engine, a vendor-published 9-million-threat database, and blocking for unsafe links, downloads, and redirects. If that baseline solves the problem and Windows' existing security stack is already configured, paying for PRO may be unnecessary.

PRO adds a second protection engine powered by Bitdefender, a vendor-published larger threat database, stronger ransomware defenses, SafeBox protection for selected files, password/privacy protections, webcam protection, System Guard, Behavior Protection, USB-threat defenses, automatic/custom scans, automatic updates, anti-tracking controls, and premium support.

Treat the database-size claims as vendor marketing data, not proof that one edition will detect a specific percentage more malware on your own PC.

Four reasons PRO can justify the upgrade

**Dual-engine real-time protection.** PRO combines the IObit engine with Bitdefender's engine instead of relying on IObit's engine alone. That is the clearest technical upgrade over Free. It should still be validated alongside any other security software already installed so you do not create avoidable conflicts or duplicate real-time scanning.

**Ransomware Shield and SafeBox.** PRO adds more explicit ransomware defenses and a password-protected SafeBox for important files. This can be useful for selected documents, but it does not replace an offline or versioned backup. If ransomware recovery matters, keep independent copies outside the protected PC.

**Broader privacy and unauthorized-access controls.** PRO documents webcam protection, password/privacy shielding, System Guard, Behavior Protection, anti-tracking, and USB protection. These are additional control layers, not a guarantee that every malicious action or phishing attempt will be stopped.

**Automatic scanning, updates, and premium support.** PRO can automate scans and updates and provides paid support. That matters more on several family PCs than on one machine that is already maintained manually.

The current standalone 3-PC price is $23.99

The current IObit Malware Fighter PRO page lists 1 PC at $19.95/year, 2 PCs at $22.95/year, and 3 PCs at $23.99/year. The current IObit Hot Deals page independently shows the 1-year, 3-PC Malware Fighter 13 PRO offer at $23.99.

A separate current purchase page shows $25.99 for a 1-year, 3-PC "Family Solution," but that package also includes one-PC licenses for IObit Uninstaller PRO, Smart Defrag PRO, and Protected Folder. That is a different bundle, not evidence that the standalone 3-PC Malware Fighter license has two conflicting prices.

This article therefore registers the standalone $23.99 three-PC offer. If the bundle is more attractive at checkout, compare the included gifts and every renewal line separately.

Exact renewal is not publicly fixed on the current page

IObit's current renewal portal includes IObit Malware Fighter PRO but requires an existing license code before showing the renewal transaction. The public product page does not publish a reliable numeric next-year price for the exact standalone $23.99 three-PC offer. Do not assume the crossed-out $54.95 is the renewal price.

Save the order confirmation and use the account-specific renewal portal or renewal notice as the next-charge authority. Promotions and device configurations can change.

IObit's current refund policy, updated July 31, 2026, includes Malware Fighter under its 60-day money-back framework and lists the circumstances under which refunds are accepted. Turning off future renewal and submitting a refund request are separate actions.

Market context

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus currently costs $29.99 for the first year for three devices and includes a 200 MB/day/device Standard VPN. AVG Internet Security currently costs $59.88 first year for 10 devices and shows a $99.99/year renewal. Avast Premium Security currently shows about $49.08 first year for one desktop plus one mobile device, with a $77.99/year renewal; its 10-device plan is about $69.48 first year and $99.99/year renewal.

Norton 360 Standard currently costs $39.99 first year for three devices and renews at $94.99/year, while Norton 360 Deluxe is $49.99 first year for five devices and renews at $124.99/year. Those products have different bundle scopes, so these are price-and-feature references, not claims that one security engine is more effective.

Next step

Use Malware Fighter Free first on a noncritical Windows PC. Upgrade only if the Bitdefender second engine, ransomware/SafeBox workflow, privacy guards, automated maintenance, or multi-PC coverage solves a recurring need.

Before paying, verify that the cart is the standalone 3-PC license rather than the $25.99 gift bundle, and check the renewal notice when it becomes available.
