Separate the compute families
Vultr provides shared-CPU Cloud Compute and dedicated compute options. Select the family for the workload before comparing individual plans.
Who will manage the server?
This is a server selection decision, not a promise that the vendor will maintain your application. Decide who owns system updates, access control and data recovery before launch.
Compare like-for-like resources
Compare region, CPU type, memory, disk and the applicable network and backup terms. A low headline amount does not establish that two configurations meet the same need.
Start with a representative task
Test the software stack you intend to run, using non-sensitive sample data. Record actual resource use before increasing the instance size.
